Help & FAQs

  • The Compare Platform requires the selection of a Car Make & the input of an Original Equipment Manafacturer (OEM) Part Number (i.e., 99655555706D05 or 996-555-557-06-D05). Alternatively, you can Click/Select a Part Number from the already captured parts for each Make to view & update the prices of the available options. Searching other input will result in wrong and inaccurate information. Find the OEM Part Number by selecting a Car Make & visiting a Wholesaler/Retailer Site from the drop-down list of the (Find Part #) button, then select the Year, Model, & Trim of your car, and search the Wholesaler/Retailer Online Catalog for the Part Number using keywords or VIN/Chassis #.

  • You can select the Car Make by Clicking the Car Make Logo or from the Make drop-down List.

  • The platform run queries that search Wholesalers & Retailers Web Sites for the Part Number Information. Make sure your browser is setup to allow pop-up messages. If the query status is "queued", it means the resources are serving other users, please wait, as it is a first come, first serve service, or cancel and try again later.

  • The (Fits?/View) button: When sites are searched for a Part Number, the query results may show multiple Options/Variations for the same Part Number. To optimize performance, we only select the 1st Option in the Response and the (Fits?) button can be used to verify Fitness & Alternatives for a “Found” part, while the (View) button may be used to verify the current status of a Part that wasn’t found.

  • The "Brand" Field: Alternative OEM Parts are offered by some Providers. We only select the 1st Option in the Response and the "Brand" field will show the Part's Brand.

  • "Red Part # & Option Info": The Part # is "Not Found". To get out of the Missing Options list, Click the Search button OR a Part # from the displayed list.

  • “Orange Part # & Option Info": The Part is Probably On Backorder, Discontinued, Available Soon, Out Of Stock, Unavailable for purchase, Require Further Action at the Provider’s Site to view the price (i.e. Select Option or Add to Cart to See Price), or Doesn’t Reflect OEM Part Description. Click the (View) button to verify, otherwise Click the "Update All Info" or "Update Price" button for the specific Option.

  • The Price(s) or Option(s) Update is not progressing: The platform will wait for a Provider’s page to be loaded in order to capture the Part’s Information. If the update is not progressing, click the "Cancel" button next to the Progress Bar and wait while the Query consolidates the results, then try the update again by clicking the "Update Prices" button, "Update Missing Options" button, or Update “All Info”/“Price” button for the specific Option. Sometimes Web Sites can’t be reached due to their scheduled maintenance or changes to their content, and the platform will log the incidents for investigation & rectification. “Deselect the Site(s)” for faster updates of other parts for the same Car Make. If the problem presist, please contact us by email referencing the Car Make, Part Number, and Provider/WebSite.

  • The Price and other part information in a listed option are different from the Provider's page when clicking the Fits button: We shows information for an OEM Part Number without considering the year, model, & trim of the Vehicle, but if you selected the Vehicle Details (i.e. year, model, & trim) at the Provider’s Site previously, then the Fits Button will show the information for the Part that fits your Vehicle. Clear any previously selected Vehicle Details at the Provider's site or delete the site’s cookies and Click Fits again. If no Vehicle Details, update the specific option All Info. If the problem persist, please contact us at info@carpartprice.com referencing the Car Make, Part #, and Web Site address.

  • We capture the response of a Retailer/Wholoesaler for a search of an OEM Part Number, and sometimes the Part Name, Information, and Image do not reflect the actual OEM Part Number and it’s Description. Such providers will show a different Part Number or a variation of the OEM Part Number when clicking the OEM Part Number to view all the options, and when reported will be listed as Missing Options with Doesn’t Reflect OEM Part Description in Other Info. Please report such options to info@CarPartPrice.com referencing the Make, OEM Part #, and Provider/WebSite and verify the OEM Part at the other providers’ sites by selecting the Vehicle Details (i.e. year, model, & trim).

  • The Part Name, Other Info, or Part # Input Fields are not accessible: click the “Compare” tab to reload the page.

  • We acknowledge an issue with the PDF download only showing up to 9 or 10 options on the mobile version and we are working on a fix.

  • Navigating to another CarPartPrice.com page during a Query Update will result in loss of session. Open the “Compare” page in a separate window to avoid loss of information.

  • Parse & Update Queries will stop after the 3rd “Not Found” Option and a max of three current “Not Found” Options will be Parsed & Updated per query.

  • Int'l Buyers with a US Shipping Address: If you have a problem paying Providers using a Credit Card with a Billing Address in your country, try using PayPal but insure you login to PayPal using the same browser that is re-directing you to the Retailer's site, and activate the PayPal (OneTouch) feature before proceeding with payment on the Providers' Web Sites.
